Experience: While at the University of Minnesota, Riley studied adolescent depression and suicidality through the use of functional magnetic resonance imaging. She completed an honors thesis, “The neural correlates of recognizing emotional self and other faces in adolescents with varying levels of depression before and after neurofeedback.” In summer 2018, she worked as a research intern in cardiac electrophysiology at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania studying computed tomography detection of arrhythmogenic heart tissue.
